Instructor Activity

You can see when instructors last accessed the class:

  1. In the Instructors section, look at the Last Active column
  2. If an instructor hasn't been active recently, they may not be teaching the class

Best Practices

  • 2-3 instructors per class - Provides coverage for absences
  • One primary, others secondary - Clear decision-making authority
  • Include a backup instructor - For emergency coverage

Communication

  • Coordinate with co-instructors on who teaches what
  • Use the activity feed to stay informed
  • Discuss grading approaches for consistency

Maintenance

  • Review instructors at the start of each semester
  • Remove instructors who are no longer teaching
  • Add new instructors before the semester begins

Troubleshooting

Can't Find Someone to Add

  • They may not be in the organization yet (contact admin)
  • They may have a different role (must be "Instructor")
  • Check spelling of name/email

Remove Button Not Available

  • You may not have permission (must be Primary or Admin)
  • There may only be one instructor (cannot remove last one)

Instructor Can't See the Class

  • Verify they were added successfully
  • Check they have the correct role in the organization
  • Confirm the class is not deleted
